South Luangwa National Park, Zambia
The South Luangwa National Park is one of the great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometers (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness situated in Zambia's Eastern Province. For many years the Luangwa Park has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world.
Flatdogs is one of the few “family friendly” camps in the Luangwa Valley welcoming children and infants year round. Chalets are designed to comfortably accommodate families while the restaurant offers a children’s menu, flexible meal times and a nanny/listening service that allows parents to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the camp after the little ones have gone to bed!

South Luangwa National Park Game Drives and Walks:
Each drive/walk is accompanied by a fully qualified guide/equipped safari vehicle. Our morning drives leave at 6am and return by around 10am and the night drives depart at 4pm and return just after 8pm. We are the closest camp to the entrance to the park and so our guests can be first in and last out! All vehicles are fitted with radios. Game drives cost US$45 per person per drive. This rate does not include the National Park entry fee (payable at the gate and valid for 24hrs) of US$25 per person* for International visitors or $20 per person for SADC members & Zambian residents*. Between 1st June and 31st October each year we are able to offer walking safaris and half drive/half walk combos. Walking safaris are conducted with a qualified walking guide and a ZAWA armed scout.
